Joomla Day S.F. 2008

I spent the day in Building 43 at GooglePlex in Mountain View for the 2nd annual Joomla Day in the Bay Area. Drupal Camp LA - Huge Success

Laura Scroggins speaking at Drupal Camp LA 2008
This year's Drupal Camp LA was bigger and better than last year. Thanks to the efforts of Chris Charlton, Crystal Williams, and the entire LA Drupal Group. It was great to see the fine folks at Achieve Internet again and I was delighted to meet the very handsome Michael Murdoch from Work Habit.

Wireless Travel Kit

I've been wanting to write about wireless broadband for a number of months and am excited to finally sit down to discuss one of my favorite devices. Last year I invested a couple of hundred dollars in a small device from Sprint that connects my laptop to the Internet from just about anywhere. I simply take this wireless broadband device and plug it into a USB port and I am connected in about 15 seconds.
Wireless Travel Kit
If you travel a great deal, live between two homes, or need a connection at your house and your business then you are probably a good candidate for wireless broadband. However, there are a few things to consider before you make your purchase. Connectivity Speed: while I love my wireless broadband, I traded speed for portability. Cable provides me with a faster connection. Reliability: with cable I often have periods where I can't connect (Suddenly-not-linked). With Sprint as long as I am in one of their zones, I connect each and every time.

Video Converter

Try this cool piece of software that converts video into many different formats.
I hired a camera crew to tape an interview and wow was I frustrated when they delivered the digital media file in a format that needed to be encoded before I could stream on YouTube and Blip.tv. The software was easy to install, easy to use, and is bundled with an audio converter, and more. I am happy with my purchase.AVS4YOU.com
